Toyota SinoHytec Unveil Next-Gen Hydrogen Fuel Cell System TL Power150

On May 16th, Huafeng Fuel Cell Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Huafeng”), a joint venture between SinoHytec and Toyota, released a new generation of high-power hydrogen fuel cell system – TL Power 150.


Huafeng is a joint venture company established by SinoHytec and Toyota in 2021. The two parties each hold 50% of the shares, aiming to jointly promote commercial vehicle fuel cell system technology.

According to reports, TL Power 150 has a rated power of 150kW and a weight of 166kg. It adopts a three-layer structure of FCPC, stack, and BOP. The mass power density reaches 900W/kg, and the minimum starting temperature is minus 30 degrees Celsius.


Toyota said: “TL Power150 can meet the power needs of intercity buses and heavy trucks. It is light in weight, small in size, high in power, high in efficiency, low in hydrogen consumption, fast in response, and highly integrated in the system, and is suitable for more commercial vehicles.”
