Tesla Tops Car Satisfaction Survey, 98% of U.S. Models Compatible

May 24 news, according to the latest report released by the market research organization Straits Research, 98% of newly produced cars are compatible with Apple’s CarPlay and Google’s Android Auto; 80% of new car owners strongly hope that the new car will be installed with the above-mentioned mobile phone-based infotainment system.


In terms of satisfaction with in-vehicle infotainment systems, Tesla ranks first, with 86% satisfaction among surveyed owners; BMW’s iDrive ranks second, with 80% satisfaction.


The report noted that the introduction of infotainment systems has led to an increase in distracted driving fatalities. The number of deaths from such causes in the United States in 2022 will be 3,142, a year-on-year increase of 22%.


Overall, the U.S. automotive infotainment system market is projected to grow at a rate of 6.26%, owing to increased demand for connectivity and seamless integration of advanced vehicle technologies.


The report pointed out that the global automotive infotainment system market size will be US$29 billion in 2021, with a CAGR of 8.8% during the forecast period (2022-2030), and is expected to reach US$56 billion in 2030.
