But strangely, Tesla China did not explain the reason for the price increase. According to statistics, since Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y models were made domestically, Tesla has adjusted their prices nearly 20 times.

The main reasons include adjustments to subsidy policies, increased localization rates, and fluctuations in material prices.

In addition to China, Tesla has also raised prices in the United States, Japan, Canada and other markets.

The price of the whole series in the United States has increased by 250 US dollars, the price of Canada has increased by 300 Canadian dollars, and the price of Japan has increased by 37,000 yen.

Berlinergy said Tesla is automatically adjusting vehicle pricing in global markets based on a complex model that management revisits on a weekly basis. It is said that the decision-making factors include production capacity, macroeconomics and so on.

Musk previously revealed in an interview with Tesla’s Q1 financial report that Tesla will update in real time every day how many cars it ordered yesterday and how many cars it produced yesterday.

It doesn’t take long for Tesla to get the data compared to other brands’ dealership models, so they can make real-time adjustments.
