Electric CLA, Mercedes-Benz’s new entry-level concept car teaser released: 2023 Munich Motor Show debut.
Luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz plans to launch a long-awaited electric model.
The automaker has now released a preview of its new entry-level electric model, which will be close to the size of Mercedes-Benz’s CLA.
According to Autocar, the new entry-level EV concept will be similar in size to the Mercedes-Benz’s CLA, share design elements similar to the Mercedes EQXX concept, and have a range of up to 747 miles.
Foreign media believe that this entry-level concept car is based on Mercedes-Benz’s new MMA platform, and is likely to use BYD’s lithium iron phosphate battery pack.
In September this year, Mercedes-Benz will present the concept design of this new entry-level electric model at the IAA Mobility 2023 in Munich, Germany, and we will bring you more detailed reports at that time.
As a company working hard to achieve the electrification transition, Mercedes-Benz will reveal its next-generation electric models later this year.
Currently, the company already has five battery electric models, including Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan, EQS SUV, EQB, EQE sedan and EQE SUV.
Joseph Agostella, chairman of the Mercedes dealer board, previously said: “There are a lot of electric vehicles in development” and “Electric vehicles are definitely our future.”

Mercedes-Benz electric CLA sedan
According to Automotive News, Mercedes-Benz’s upcoming slate of new vehicles includes an electric CLA sedan with an expected 400-mile range designed for younger buyers.
Mercedes is also planning an electric GLC successor to its first mass-market EV, the EQC.
Mercedes says the highlight of this year’s IAA Mobility 2023 will be its entry-level segment and will showcase a number of new concept cars.
According to Autocar, a new generation of the Mercedes-Benz CLA is expected to arrive in 2025, using an in-house developed electric and mild-hybrid petrol drivetrain.
According to the previous news, the new MMA platform focuses on small and medium-sized and compact cars, and will support fuel, hybrid, and pure electric power structures.
In particular, it should be noted that the MMA platform also supports multiple technologies such as 800V overcharge system, permanent magnet synchronous motor, and SiC power electronic devices.
According to reports, the mass-production version of this concept car will be unveiled in 2024.
Its battery electric power system provides two forms of single-motor front-drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive, which can provide at least 200 horsepower (149 kilowatts) of power and a cruising range of 450-550 kilometers under WLTP conditions.
The new car will be shown in Munich alongside the Mercedes-Benz EQXX and Vision One-Eleven to give an introduction to the technology Mercedes will use in future electric vehicles.
Mercedes is expected to release three more “entry-level” EV models over the next three years as part of its new lineup of compact cars.
The automaker said the new models, which will be revealed in September, will represent its “vision of class-leading innovation, design and digital experience.”
