Great Wall Motors Builds Brazil’s 1st Nev Factory, Launching Next Year

On May 4th, according to the official news of Great Wall Motors, Great Wall Motors’ Brazilian plant will become Brazil’s first new energy vehicle factory specializing in the production of hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles, and it is aimed to officially start operations in the first half of next year.


According to reports, the Iracemapolis plant of Great Wall Motors in Brazil is currently being successfully upgraded in accordance with Great Wall Motors’ global smart factory standards.

In the first half of this year, the modernization and expansion of the production line will start. officially launched operations. In the future, the factory’s production capacity will increase to 100,000 vehicles per year and 2,000 direct jobs will be created.


In addition, Great Wall Motors signed a “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperative Development of Hydrogen Energy” with the Sao Paulo state government in Brazil to jointly promote the feasibility study of hydrogen-powered transportation.


Great Wall Motor stated that its Brazilian factory will not only meet the supply demand for intelligent and electric vehicles in the local market in Brazil, but also serve as the fourth largest production base of Great Wall Motor in the world, radiating the entire Latin American new energy vehicle market.


Great Wall Motor will invest more than 10 billion reais in Brazil for its operations in Brazil in the next 10 years.
