BYD and Castrosua launch first 12m electric bus

According to news on May 30, BYD and Spanish bus manufacturer Castrosua launched the first customized 12-meter pure electric bus, which rolled off the assembly line in Spain on May 29 and made its debut. As early as September 2022, BYD and Castrosua announced a strategic partnership.
This pure electric bus is equipped with BYD’s core technologies such as batteries, motors, and electronic controls. It can accommodate more than 90 passengers and has a cruising range of more than 450 kilometers. It is equipped with BYD’s battery thermal management system, lithium iron phosphate battery technology, and a six-in-one motor system. Adopt NELEC body.
It is understood that BYD’s pure electric city buses cover models of 6-27 meters and provide a variety of configuration options. At present, BYD’s new energy public transportation, represented by pure electric buses, covers 6 continents, more than 50 countries and regions, and more than 300 cities.
It is worth mentioning that Japan’s Kanto Railway Company will introduce two BYD “K8” pure electric buses on June 1, with a maximum range of 300km, a maximum rated capacity of 92 passengers, a maximum output torque of 860N m, and a maximum output power 200kW.
