Musk Visits Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory, Model 3 to be Unveiled.

Tesla Shanghai Super Factory

According to news on June 1, Tesla CEO Musk’s private jet landed at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport at 21:26 on May 31, Beijing time.

Three hours later, at 0:28 on June 1, Tesla’s global vice president Tao Lin posted two large group photos of Musk and his employees on Weibo, with the text “Thank you for all your support! A full day!”, and the location is displayed as Tesla Shanghai Super Factory.

After visiting the Shanghai Super Factory in early 2020, Musk visited China again after 3 years. Many industry insiders speculate that Musk’s visit to Shanghai may unveil the new Model 3.

According to Bloomberg News, people familiar with the matter said that during Musk’s first visit to the company’s Shanghai factory in several years, the company plans to show its Model 3 facelift in advance.

The first cars to roll off the production line on Thursday were prototypes, people familiar with the matter said.

It was reported earlier this month that the Model 3 facelift, Tesla’s first mass-market sedan, is slightly longer than the previous version, with a sportier look and a sleeker interior. Tesla has made only minor changes to the Model 3 since production began in 2017.
