Fisker Unveils Electric SUV: Tesla Rival Delivers 1st Ocean PEV

First Fisker Ocean
It was reported on May 11 that the first Fisker Ocean has rolled off the production line in just a few weeks since the new Fisker production line was announced in March.
According to Fisker’s official website, company co-founder Henrik Fisker recently delivered the first Fisker Ocean to a car owner in Copenhagen, Denmark. The starting price of the Fisker Ocean delivered this time is $70,500.
Fisker produced only a small number of Ocean pure electric SUVs in the fourth quarter of 2022, but it plans to significantly increase production in 2023, with annual production expected to be as high as 42,000 vehicles.
To date, Fisker has received more than 65,000 orders for Ocean. It is reported that Fisker Ocean is the brand’s first pure electric SUV, which will be released at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2021.
Its competitors include Tesla Model Y and Ford Mach-E. The Fisker Ocean has a WLTP range of approximately 440 miles.
Compared with competitors such as Tesla, Fisker has not built its own charging network like Tesla, but has cooperated with some companies, including Deftpower in the European Union and ChargePoint in the United States to provide charging solutions for customers.
This strategy has helped Fisker shed a huge asset-heavy investment without having to go through a slow infrastructure charging network like Tesla.
Founded in Anaheim, California in 2005, Fisker Automotive is one of the pioneers in the electric vehicle industry.
