According to news on August 10, on Wednesday night local time, General Motors launched a full-size pure electric luxury SUV model – Cadillac Escalade IQ, the electrified model of the family’s flagship SUV Escalade.
It is said that the price of Escalade IQ can reach 130,000 US dollars (currently about 940,000 RMB), which is an “important step” in GM’s strategy to revive the Cadillac brand, and will further help GM’s goal of fully electrified by 2030.
Since it was unveiled as a pure electric model, Escalade IQ naturally adopts its own brand-new design language.
The front face is equipped with a shield-shaped light-emitting grille similar to that of LYRIQ, and the side is quite large and tough.
It has a strong future atmosphere and better aerodynamic performance.
The new car offers two versions, luxury and sports.
The luxury model uses more brushed aluminum metal finishes on the exterior, while the sporty model uses dark metal finishes.
In addition, the new car can also choose a black painted roof, which forms a two-color body design with the other 6 body colors.
In terms of body size, the new car is 224.3 inches (approximately 5697.22 mm) long and has a wheelbase of 136.2 inches (approximately 3459.48 mm).
As for the interior of the car, the Escalade IQ adopts a black/brown dual-style design as a whole, equipped with a 55-inch triple screen, and the central control armrest is equipped with a smaller multi-function control screen and a knob.
On the whole, the interior uses a large number of straight-cut design styles, which echoes the exterior style.
In addition, the car is equipped with two 12.3-inch rear entertainment screens, optional rear executive seats.
Of course, as a full-size SUV model, the Escalade IQ is naturally equipped with a three-row seat layout.
Escalade IQ adopts dual-motor all-wheel drive. The power of the two motors is 680 horsepower in normal driving mode.
After switching to Velocity Max mode, the power increases to 750 horsepower.
The acceleration time of 0-100 km/h is less than 5 seconds.
The Escalade IQ is also equipped with an adaptive air suspension, an electromagnetic shock absorption system and a four-wheel steering system.
The adaptive air suspension can lower the vehicle by 50 mm and raise it by 25 mm, while the four-wheel steering system can significantly improve the performance of this car.

Escalade IQ is based on GM Ultium platform
Like other GM models, the Escalade IQ is naturally based on the GM Ultium platform, using the same 800V electrical architecture as the Hummer EV, with a maximum power of 750 horsepower and a peak torque of 785 lb-ft (approximately 1064.32 N. rice).
The new car is equipped with 24 modules of batteries with an available capacity of more than 200kWh.
According to the official statement, it can be charged for 10 minutes in a charging environment of 350kW power, adding 100 miles (about 160.93 kilometers) of battery life, and the cruising range is estimated to be 450 miles (about 724.2 kilometers).
The Cadillac Escalade IQ will be produced at GM’s zero-emissions plant in Detroit, which has undergone a $2.2 billion refurbishment and remodel.
Production of the new car will begin next summer, with deliveries to customers beginning at the end of the year.
